Welcome to my love letter to Gen-X!
I don’t know how you ended up at this blog. Maybe you were searching around online after watching a cheesy 90s movie. Or maybe you’re in love with Fiona Apple circa “Criminal”. I don’t know! But you are here and you didn’t ask for this blog, but here it is.
Here I’m going to write about 90s fashion in movies and television but also in music. And, of course, culture, feminism and politics.
This era was so iconic, and being an 80s baby, I always looked up to older kids who grew up in the 90s. It’s no wonder why Gen X-ers are my some of my favorite people. They introduced us to Clueless, My So-Called Life and Nirvana. They are, as we said in the 2000s, the bomb dot com.
So thank you for stopping by. I hope you stay and see where this weird, wacky idea for a blog takes us.
A note about photo credits
When possible, we credit the source for our photos if we can find something that seems like a reliable credit. We try our best to track down the original source, but as you can probably guess, the internet is nothing short of the wild west when it comes to images circulating without credit.
If you’ve found your photo on this blog and would like credit, please message us at hello@canthardlydress.com and we can add a credit.
A note about affiliate links
From time to time, we might use an affiliate link for a product or service. This means that if you click and end up purchasing an item after clicking, we may get a commission.
